Elizabeth Deutsch

Owner and Director

Elizabeth is the owner and director of We are Talking, Inc., and a Speech-Language Pathologist who works with children and adolescents with speech, language, and literacy disorders.

Her passion for supporting children and families with specific learning needs spans across 20 years of working with special needs populations as a classroom aide in a therapeutic day school, an early interventionist, and a developmental therapist prior to joining the profession of Speech Language Pathology. Elizabeth holds advanced training in Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking™ program, PROMPT for Restructuring Oral Motor Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), and the Lindamood Visualizing Verbalizing™ Program (VV). Elizabeth was trained to use Orton Gillingham (OG) techniques for reading instruction while in graduate school, and has pursued trainings with Nancy Tellian’s Lively Letters Program.

Additionally, Elizabeth has a background in DIR/FloorTime Therapy and has sought out training under developmental specialists who understand the value of incorporating multi-sensory learning materials into their treatment. She is licensed by the state of Massachusetts and is certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

Renee Dautel

Speech Language Pathologist

  • Renee Dautel, M.A., CCC-SLP earned her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida, and graduated from University of Connecticut with a Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.

    Renee has experience working in clinical and school-based settings with the pediatric population, ages ranging from 3-15. Pediatric clinical areas of expertise include receptive and expressive language development, articulation and social pragmatic language skills. She has special interest in childhood language development in relation to academic success. Renee values the relationships she builds with her clients and loves engaging families in the therapy process.

    When not working, Renee enjoys exploring her new home of Cambridge with her husband and dog.

Jennie Schofield

Occupational Therapist

  • Jennie Schofield, OTR/L, is a registered and licensed occupational therapist in the state of Massachusetts.

    She specializes in sensory integration and has special interests in trauma and attachment, mental health, parent-child relationships, and nature-based therapy.

    She has worked in the field for 7 years with a broad range of diagnosis and abilities. Jennie believes deeply that trusting and collaborative relationships are the foundation for therapeutic gains. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University. Jennie holds a certificate from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is licensed in Visual Arts education for pre-k through 12th grade.

    In addition to We Are Talking, Jennie practices occupational therapy at a sensory integration clinic in Newton and provides consultation services to several local private schools. Jennie is trained in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and is SIPT certified.

Alie Barletta

Occupational Therapist

  • Alie is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist who received her degree at the University of New Hampshire in 2015. Alie has been working in early intervention and outpatient pediatrics clinics.

    Her passion for working with children and their families is highlighted by her focus to create individualized care plans, addressing the needs of the child and family. As part of her early intervention experience, Alie assisted in developing a very successful yoga group for toddlers and educating caregivers on how to best support their child. Within her outpatient experience she implemented a caregiver support group, social emotional groups, and mindfulness groups. Alie believes in using holistic and playful therapeutic techniques to build confidence and mindfulness and support regulation and growth. She embraces new opportunities to continuously expand her knowledge and skill sets to include use of trauma-based intervention techniques, Floortime therapy, pediatric yoga and mindfulness, supporting trauma and sensory dysregulation, and assisting with sleep training.

    Her areas of speciality include pediatric feeding and supporting anxious children and adolescents.

Corinne Huntley

Speech Language Pathologist

  • Corinne comes to We are Talking Inc. with a variety of pediatric experiences supporting various language learning needs related to disabilities including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, intellectual impairment, sensory processing disorder, executive dysfunction, language based learning disability, ADHD, and articulation/phonological disorders.

    Corinne is well versed in the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, which she uses to help her clients express themselves more effectively. She is highly skilled in selecting and programming the appropriate devices, as well as providing training and support to clients and their families.

    Corinne has a deep understanding and compassion for the unique challenges children with communication disorders face within their home, classroom and peer group. She is skilled at developing individualized therapy plans that take into account each child's specific needs and goals. 

    Corinne is passionate and her dedication to provide personalized therapy services to allow her clients to reach their full potential within the classroom, community, and beyond make her an asset to any multidisciplinary team.

Tiffany Kirk

Occupational Therapist

  • Tiffany is a board certified Occupational Therapist registered and licensed by the state of Massachusetts.

    She earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Since attending MCPHS University, Tiffany has experience working in skilled nursing and outpatient pediatric intervention. Tiffany has been with We Are Talking, Inc. since February of 2021. She is driven with passion to provide therapeutic services to help children succeed in their social, emotional and physical environment. Tiffany has experience working with children providing occupational therapy interventions focusing on fine motor skills, gross motor skills, postural control and emotional/behavioral regulation. She has an interest for mental health and the impact of psychological disorders on executive functioning skills in children and adolescents.

    With her Psychology background, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Westfield State University, Tiffany implements mindfulness, relaxation techniques, yoga and therapeutic use of self with clients and their families. Tiffany believes in the importance of confidence and self-advocacy gained through a strong therapeutic connection between therapist and client.

    In her free time, Tiffany enjoys cooking many recipes for her family to indulge in. She also enjoys spending time with her beloved cat Tootsie.

Elizabeth Monteiro

Administrative Director

  • Elizabeth Monteiro is a Castleton University graduate and holds dual degrees in developmental psychology and early childhood education. She is ABA certified, and working as an ELA teacher in Sudbury, MA for grade 7. Elizabeth has had several jobs that layer ABA, speech, reading, and safety-care into the curriculum. She has personal experience with speech delay and disorder, and experiential knowledge of alternative augmentative communication (AAC) devices.

    Prior to her transition to education, Elizabeth worked in the corporate division of Staples for 12 years. She was responsible for website development, training and managing new hires, and developing/testing products to deliver to customers.
