What to ask

Anything you would like!
If you have any concerns regarding your child, potential treatment or therapy, or our process, we are here to address your questions.

We have found that it helps to have these questions or concerns written down so you have them at the ready for our meeting.

What to expect

All evaluations include clinical observations, and standardized and non-standardized evaluation tools.

The therapist will ‘play’ with your child, and although it may look like simple games, we are actively observing and making assessments to identify specific language and/or speech targets.

How to Prepare Your Child

We get it! Some kids get very nervous about the unknown. And you, as a parent, may be too. But rest assured, you and your child are in good hands, and our evaluations are much more fun and laid-back than you expect.

First off, talk to your child about where they will be going, and what will happen. Most of their nerves come from not knowing what to expect. Honesty is key!

Use upbeat language to put your child at ease, and be positive about the whole experience. Because, it is!

Let your child know that you will be there waiting for them, and that you can’t wait to hear all about what they did!

After the Evaluation

Upon completion of testing, a diagnosis is formulated and a comprehensive report is written along with an individualized plan of care outlining the course of treatment

The therapist will incorporate information from this first therapy appointment along with your goals to develop a plan that will “gently” challenge your child.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive therapeutic support services that are fun, engaging, and dynamic.

“I was born to be a speech-language pathologist. To teach, to love, to guide, to encourage. It is who I am. It’s my passion and my calling.”
