Our Story

We Are Talking, Inc. was founded by Elizabeth Deutsch out of the principle that collaboration and connection can feed the soul and fuel speech and language, social, cognitive, and motor skill development.

Communication is everything and with the opportunities that therapy can provide when the needs of the whole child are met, the right kind of change is initiated. The idea that therapy should be integrated across the disciplines of speech and occupational therapy is a model that's proven effective time and again. While other speech and language and occupational therapy clinics do exist in the Middlesex community, there is an overwhelming need for solid services. Personally, I wanted to work in a setting that supports building connections across disciplines for parents and children to work collaboratively with staff. My favorite part of the job is connecting with children and adolescents at their level and supporting them with finding their voice and building self advocacy skills. I am often fulfilled after play based therapy where a child has learned a new way to communicate and the spark is ignited to strengthen our relationship.
